Besides hearing the track "Give Me Your Love" at a Disco club during the early 80's, New York based singer, Sylvia Striplin, recieved little recognition in the music world. Her only solo album, produced by Roy Ayers, features her soulful vocals over funky, disco fused rhythms. "You Can't Turn Me Away" has become infamous as the sample for Junior M.A.F.I.A's hit "Get Money"; artists Naughty By Nature, Armand Van Helden and even the Backstreet Boys have all jumped on sampling this rare and amazing boogie groove.
